Although I finished my bachelor's degree last year, I have to say, I wasn't quite sure which career path to follow. Funny that one of the reasons I opted to be a business major was the endless job prospects, yet now that choice is too much for me.
For the last year, I've tried to work out just what career is the one for me. A few months ago, and none the wiser on the career-front, I spoke a career guidance counsellor at my college for advice. He recommended taking a career assessment test to assist me in finding the job of my dreams.
While, I'd heard of these, I had not really given much thought to taking a career assessment test. To be honest, I didn't think it wouldn't really help me in planning the future. It isn't like I can just start college all over again studying medicine or history if the career assessment test indicates that I should train to be a vet, doctor or historian.
My counsellor allayed my fears though, assuring me that anyone of any age can benefit from these questionnaires and it's better late than never to discover where your passion and skills lay.
When I reached the decision to go for it, I was told I'd have to return to my college to take it
